One of the most stimulating street event in New York City is the Chinese New Year’s parade. It is loud and visually striking. I love it!
The Brooklyn Invitational Custom Motorcycle Show is always a good time, I wish it was a bit bigger, with more bikes and more vendors.
Summer is scheduled to come back to New York City, which mean sunshine, warm weather and blue sky are on their way. So we’re thinking beach, Rockaway Beach.
It’s always great to fire up your beach day with a Piña Colada float from Connolly’s and open your taste buds with a few lobster sliders from The Lobster Joint. The other great option is Ripper’s renowned Cheeseburger and Cheese Fries in combination with a cold Narragansett and good ol’ Punk Rock and 90’s Hip Hop in the background.
Either options will get you well set for deep reflection and enlightenment on the beach, with refreshing dips in wavy water. Repeat until sunset.
Once inner peacefulness has reached its climax, wrap it up and head to Tacoway Beach, a little food shack, located in the Rockaway Beach Surf Club 's backyard. The waiting line is ridiculously insane, indeed. But their fish tacos and Elotes are worth the wait. And you can always get a couple of pickleback, made with their famous homemade pickle brine, while waiting in line.
Note: While respecting the hustle out there, I strongly invite you to ditch the Nutcrackers degustation on the beach. As they say, this s*** will knock you out, and they are correct, it does.

Miami was fun, yes it was… It was a weird combination of events that made the trip interesting, entertaining, contradicting, confusing and exciting. In no particular order, here’re a few things that happened; I drank a top notch Mojito facing the beach. I met the CEO of a very popular headphone company and received a mega kitsch gold portable speaker system for HIS birthday. I ate a filet mignon with up-and-coming rappers. I smoked a Cohiba fine Cuban Cigar, as well as a fruity flavored electronic version. I ate at Little Havana and wondered around car dealerships under the rain. I visited the No Commission Art Fair curated by Swizz's The Dean Collection, hype aside, that was a great show. I was taken to 8+ different clubs in one night; no line, no covers. I discovered the joy of terrible bar management at a big outdoor party, bringing the madness of ordering a drink to a compete different level. I saw Shaggy performing Boombastic. Wynnwood was cool, great murals, great vibe. I stopped by The Game's birthday, right after he got into a fight at the club, which I discovered the next day online. I looked at a 5 bedrooms 2 bathroom with car garage and a backyard on my phone and thought about it for a second. I saw a gun. I bought myself a tourist mug, a pink one. I bumped into Estelle at the airport. Miami was fun, yes it was…
