One of our favorite place to hang alone and get inspired in New York City is The Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design and Typography. Founded in 1985 by The Cooper Union and friends of Herb Lubalin, The Study Center boasts exquisite typeface designs, logos, editorial, advertising, posters and more. The collection include work by Herb Lubalin as well as other graphic design masters such as Paul Rand, Massimo Vignelli, Tibor Kalman to name a few. Groundbreaking magazines like Avant Garde, Eros, Fact and other design and typography materials from the 50’s to the 80’s are well conserved and available to explore. This extensive archive is an extremely important resources of design history in our opinion.
